Renovation work comprise of alteration and addition to existing building. Some uses the term remodel or remodelling.

First, phone your local council (List of local council) and check if a Planning Permit is required for your project.

If YES, please prepare the followings before contacting us for an appointment.

  1. Certificate of title (you can obtain this online, or we can obtain it for you at cost plus $20 admin fee)
  2. Aerial photograph (if available)
  3. Existing conditions photographs (these can be printed, soft copies or emailed to us)
  4. Your design brief  (your wish list, as detailed as possible, we then help you fine tune it)

If NO, generally you will be required to obtain a Building Permit. Then you will need the followings. For those that require a Town Planning Permit, would need these once a Town Planning Permit is received.

  1. All of the above, plus:
  2. Soil Test Report
  3. Architectural and structural drawings of the existing building (if available)
  4. Your building consultants details (if you would like to engage them. They can be Builders, Building Surveyors, Land Surveyor, Engineers, Energy Raters, etc..., otherwise we can recommend our consultants to you)
